Special Attractions...

  • Inspection Universe welcomes you to a private concert featuring Jimmie Van Zant: Tuesday, Oct 11th from 7:00-9:00pm. Jimmie was born in Jacksonville, Florida – a city known mostly in the music circles as “the home of southern rock royalty.” Jimmie’s father: E.C. Van Zant and his brother, Lacy Van Zant is Ronnie, Donnie and Johnny’s father, linking this famous family together. Jimmie recalls his mother having an upright piano at home where she spent countless hours playing gospel tunes. Jimmie began taking piano and guitar lessons back at age 6. Later, in his teen years, he watched and listened to Ronnie Van Zant and the boys’ rehearse in his living room. He became amazed, mesmerized and drawn to their musical perfection. At this time, this musical pairing was known as “One Percent”, but would later evolve into the legendary Lynryd Skynyrd band.
  • Members of the Aluminum Association will be speaking at Inspection Universe 2015, including Chris Hunter of General Cable and The Chair of the Electrical Division. InterNACHI has produced aluminum wiring checklists and reporting language on rack cards, which will be available for free at the event!
  • Certified Master Inspectors (CMIs) can take photos of themselves being awarded their Certified Master Inspector professional designation using CMI awards.  No, you can’t take the awards home–they are just props for the photo shoots. Bring a nice shirt and a camera to the CMI Booth to get your picture taken with Nick Gromicko. Then, put your photo on your inspection business website. A picture is worth a thousand words, and a photo of you being awarded your Certified Master Inspector professional designation says it all.
